This weekend, I made $150 dollars!!!! I played piano for a church service, babysat, and worked my normal hours at a clothing store, and I'm not going to lie, I feel very accomplished. I like making money.
However, sometimes I feel that my grades are slightly lower than they could be because I do work for 4-5 hours every Sunday while most of my friends are either relaxing or doing homework. Consequently, I feel jealous of my friends free time. I am literally doing something 24/7. My Saturdays and Sundays are planned out by the hour. Fridays are really my only break from schoolwork, work, clubs, and organized activities.
Then I think about it. I have been living a chaotic life for 18 years now. Sometimes I talk to my friends and realize that my definition of busy is not their definition of busy. Definitely not. But I work the best under pressure--I have to have a ton of stuff to do to manage my time. But it is a double edged sword--I do not get very much sleep and am always worried. As I am participating in my various activities, I wish that I had free time.
I don't get it!!!! It is like my life is a big oxymoron!
Hopefully I will figure some stuff out in college.

I work from 9 to 4 on Saturdays...and I know what you mean! Even though I don't work very many hours a week, it just seems like I miss a ton of free time.
